Company One brings Stephen Adly Guirgis (DEN OF THIEVES, JESUS HOPPED THE ‘A’ TRAIN and OUR LADY OF 121ST STREET) back to Boston with his newest work, THE LAST DAYS OF JUDAS ISCARIOT. Guirgis’ most hilarious play yet, JUDAS is set in a time-bending, darkly comic world between Heaven and Hell, where agnostic lawyer Fabiana Aziza Cunningham has brought before the court The New Testament's most infamous and unexplained sinner – Judas Iscariot. Fabiana and her opposing prosecutor, Yusef El-Fayoumy, call on a cavalcade of witnesses from Sigmund Freud to Satan in this dark courtroom comedy. Having played to sold-out crowds at New York’s Public Theatre, and in light of the recent discovery of the Gospel of Judas, Company One’s Boston premiere of THE LAST DAYS OF JUDAS ISCARIOT promises to be the theatrical event of the summer!
